True. In the wide range of internet, Google is now days the doministic search engine. A lot of web designers will tell you, that they will design you a website, which will have a good Google ranking. Of course, it is possible, but designing the website SEO friendly is just a small part of Search Engine Optimization. I could make a good flash website for you, but in my opinion, this is not the best way for a good SEO.

SEO and SEM just begins with programming. It isn't something which can be done in one week. It takes a lot of time and patience until you get a good ranking. There is also the dependency on your branche, if you are selling e.g. books than you have a big rival which is Amazon. It is more or less impossible to be on a higher ranking than Amazon, because like the quote says "Google only loves you, when everyone else lovs you first" and in this case, everyone loves Amazon. But don't get disappointed, you can get a good ranking too.

The first thing is, to take out the right keywords, work with that keywords and let the public be part of your latest updates.
